When is the best time to sell your home???

This graph shows how the sales in the Chilliwack Real Estate market over the past 5 years.  The orange line indicates the half way mark for each year and acts as a reference point between the first part of the year and the last.  As you can see each year, January, usually starts out the same, slow sales.  But as the spring market hits, sales spike and by May and June we see the highest sales volume.  The only change in this is in the 2009 market, when we were coming off the 2008 recession, we actually saw sales rise in the second half of the year.5 year graph
The value of this graph to the average consumer is knowing when is the best time to sell your home.  Clearly, the spring market is that time.  More homes will sell in the spring market than any other time of the year.  The spring market brings more buyers, curb appeal heightens with blooming flowers and manicured lawns, and generally buyers want to find and move into their home before summer is in full force.  Generally the spring market starts in the middle of March and goes until the end of June, and with the interest rate continuing to sit at record lows, this spring market looks to be a healthy one.
