Chilliwack real estate stats in under a minute - June 2011

I got some emails last time saying that even though they enjoy the quick information, it went by a little too quick and would like an opportunity to view the stats a little longer.  So, with that I am posting the 1 minute video with the pdf versions of the stats for your viewing pleasure.  For the pdf files just click on them at the end of this blog.

This is the first month this year we actually went up in sales over the same time last year.  As you may remember in May we were down by more than 25% but June picked it up and we were up by 2.7% for residential and 2.5% for both residential and commercial combined.  NICE.  The hottest price range is between 300K-400K where we had 72 sales.  Time on the market hasn't really changed much, sales are coming a little quicker but nothing to write home about.  We are up by about 8.6% in listings over this same time last year, which isn't great because it throws off the whole supply vs. demand equation, but again nothing to get overly excited about.
I always look at median prices because average is crap.  I was a little surprised to see townhouses jump up so much, by 8.46%, while not being surprised to see condos dropping a lot and detached homes almost staying the same.
