Evans Road Connector:
Completion set for 2010
Construction of the Evans Road Connector Project has already commenced. The project is worth 38.2 million dollars including a grant from BC Ministry of Transport for 4 million and a grant of 2 million from Canada-B.C. Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund. The overpass will join Evans Rd. with Ashwell Rd. through Squiala First Nations Land. The agreement will also open up 100 acres of First Nations land for development. A lot of credit goes out to the Hon. John Les, Hon. Chuck Strahl, Former Mayor Clint Hames and Chilliwack city staff for all their hard work.
